About Us

The REACT project aims the creation of a European Energy Efficiency in Buildings Technician Qualification (EEEBT), EQF level 4.

The purpose of the project is to contribute for the 2030 climate and energy targets, through the equipment of EU citizens with a quality harmonized qualification on energy efficiency in buildings, developed to be recognized through all European Union. For this, European tools will be used, such as EQF and ECVET, using LO oriented vocational curriculum for EQF level 4 and being in line with quality assurance mechanisms (EQAVET).

This qualification on energy efficiency will be built with a view on its potential harmonization among all European Union countries and developed for a b-learning approach.

The target groups for this qualification are workers currently in the energy efficiency field who want to update or upgrade their qualification, workers in need to reskill and unemployed people.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES DETAILS

react curriculum

Create the REACT Curriculum, including a Competence Matrix (using Learning Outcomes (LOs) adequate to the specific EQF level).

summative assessment framework

Compile the REACT summative assessment framework.

formative assessment

Build a virtual serious game to be played throughout the CUs as formative assessment.

digital training

Develop digital training materials of multiple formats.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Design the REACT RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) scheme and tools.

Guideline

Set up a guideline for further exploitation of the qualification.

EXPECTED RESULTS

The curriculum includes the EEEBT professional profile and Competence Matrix. The qualification will be structured in 4 independent competence units(CUs):

  • CU1 – Basics of Energy Efficiency in Buildings
  • CU2 – Technologies for Energy Efficiency
  • CU3 – Methodology for the application of audit measures
  • CU4 – Monitoring of energy efficiency actions

20 single choice questions per CU each will developed, regarding the CUs training materials, which represent the theoretical summative assessment for the qualification. In addition, at least to other summative assessment tools will be developed: project assignments (2 per CU each) and webquests (1 per CU each).

The digital training materials will be developed in different digital formats ready to be uploaded on any e-learning platform.

The RPL scheme will be designed through the project to enhance RPL adaptation to each national scenario throughout the European Union. The scheme will be ready for the incorporation by national educacional agencies.

A guideline comprising the order, timing and other relevant information, about the setting up of the digital training materials on an e-learning platform will be developed in order to facilitate the incorporation of this training course on VET provider’ learning platforms.
